Sometimes, in the grip of an awful terror, people do not always pass into the next world at rest. These revenge spirits are terrible, and haunt their tormentors without mercy. In a land of shadows and daggers, one can imagine a great many spirits don't find rest, such as it is for Onryo, who has been haunting anyone who would disturb the still waters of her grave, until they are lying with her in the cold dark.

Kagejima is a weird and supernatural place. The shadows are long and deep. Many of the people who make their home there have a deep and extraordinary understanding of the arcane and spiritual. Even so, the spirit world is still not completely understood. Ghosts, souls, and the veil between this world and the next remain pretty oblique. Hungry ghosts such as Onryo are sadly fairly common due to the island's long history of vicious strife.

This boss is replete with several special abilities that take advantage of the Onryo’s powerful spell casting and WILL. If you match WILL with her, you might just loose out as you suffer Bane and become Immobilised by Cursed Visions. Her attack ability Final Day is aptly named as it deals Massive Damage, and with each successful wound her ability Ghostmancer allows her to summon an enemy model with the keyword Ghost into play.

This is where the exciting interaction with the new Yurei Bushi come into play. A new creep with the “Ghost” keyword, that will allow these spirited denizens to swarm the living while the Onryo drags their souls into her miserable story! Oh no!

When Yurei Bushi cause or suffer a wound Spirit Sentry allows any SUPER monsters in play to immediately make a basic attack action. As in life, the bonds of loyalty can follow a warrior into the afterlife. Spiritual guardians who left the world with an oath of fealty on their lips often return again to serve at their masters side.
