Shrine Sisters

This dual sister duo are Super Dungeon’s first paired hero. What is a paired hero you say? Well, settle in.

This means, with a little bit of economy of actions and careful use of Princess Coins, the paired sisters will be hard to remove from play effectively. More heroes battling, more actions, more butt-kicking for everybody!

Ichika and her twin sister Yui have stood guard at their shrine for nearly 10 years before agents of the Dark Consul razed their temple to the ground. Ichika, has sworn to stay by her sisters side to help hunt down and destroy the enemies of the Kagejima’s Kami, and purify her blade in their destruction.

Yui, has also dedicated her life to the protection of the sacred places of Kagejima. Able to commune with the Kami that inhabit their island, Yui channels mystic energy to lend in purification rituals and drive away evil spirits.

During play, you will have to balance the sisters relative delicate nature, only sharing 6 wounds between the two of them, they are a little fragile. Ichika is a consummate fighter, her blazing fast naginata cutting down enemies with ease.

Her abilities, including her reach of 3 squares, are all offensive. Storm Surge allows a powerful melee Wave attack, and allows her to move a square for each enemy destroyed. Martial Training is a great Aura ability lending an additional blue dice to attack actions. To top it off, and to get out of trouble, she can always chug her potion The Rising Tide and change places with her sister.

Yui has more finesse than her aggressive sister. Yui’s naginata still has a reach of 3 which allows them to dance around enemies and use their abilities to good effect. Her magical blast Thunder Burst will Heal 1 heart for each enemy destroyed, very useful given the girls limited hearts.

Swift As Lightning is a powerful Aura that gives an additional 2 movement to heroes activating in range, and should things look dire, you can pop her potion Borrowed Strength and Heal a hero an amount equal to the remaining hearts on Ichika.
